Seamus Venus painting in \"17 Again\" preview
The trailer for the upcoming Matthew Perry/Zac Efron/Leslie Mann movie "17 Again" reveals a pretty cool Gallery 1988 painting in the background, albeit fuzzy. It's MY Metroid-themed "Seamus Venus," in Reno 911! favorite Thomas Lennon's house. Check out the screen capture:
\"\"
I'm hoping you'll see it better in the film, as well as many other Gallery 1988 familiar pieces, since I think they may make up most the walls in the Lennon character's house. Check out the movie when it comes out April 17th!

Mixing my painting and tattoo = tattoo fun!
I tend to focus on my paintings on this blog, but today I thought I'd talk about my tattooing.  I have had several people over the years send me photos or come up to me in public and show me tattoos of my artwork. Each time no matter how beautiful the tattoo turns out, I am disappointed.. I have spent 17 years tattooing and tattooing my own designs make me happiest.

Well last week I had a great consultation with Mark Wood.. he wanted me to do my painting of "Our Lady of the Arcade" and this afternoon I got to do it!!!!
\"\"

only 7 1/2 hours of work so far, just a couple of hours to finish.. I had a great time tattooing him and he and his wife are just fabulous people to visit with while I worked.. I drifted home on a cloud today...

Another tattoo of my paintings I have done was on Zig.. an entire leg piece.. knee to ankle based on my children's story "Undersea Tea Garden"

\"\"

anyone else want a tattoo of my art??? Just call Zulu tattoo (323)782-9977 and Make an appointment and I guarantee you that you will make my day

busy busy busy
I really intend on blogging here on a regular basis, just have been so slammed this month.. What have I been doing?  well.... I have been making bento boxes for my lunch. Part of my new healthier way of eating.. Now my lunch is healthier and cuter!!
\"\"

Part of my healthier lifestyle I have also been playing Wii Fit. I am amazed how much a diet change and playing videogames have made in the way I look and feel..

I have also been redoing my site myself.. Trying to teach myself how to use Dreamweaver and adding some flash galleries (soon I hope) so that it is easier to see my work.. I'd still  love to add a blog that could be commented on on my website, but for now having my Livejournal show on my website is as good as I can get..

I've also been working on a couple of pieces for an upcoming show at Gallery 1988  "Idiot Box"  that will open in April.. here are my 2 pieces
\"\"
"Bottle Blonde" an ode to "I Dream of Jeannie"

\"\"
"Che's Angels"  an ode to Charlies Angels

The show is going to be really fun, as usual Gallery 1988 has booked some amazing artists with thier own twists on the theme.

new site updates
Wow maintaining my own site is way harder than I thought.. I just spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to embed my blogs into my website.. but I finally figured out how to do it thanks to  www.rss-info.com/en_rssinclude-simple.html.
more photo and website changes to come.
